Before setting up a business in a particular location, it is important to know what is permitted there.
That is why you should first consult the environmental plan. It specifies which activities are permitted and which rules apply. Using the Map the Omgevingsloket, you can easily see which rules apply to a specific location.

Permits and regulations

• You can use the permit check tool on the Omgevingsloket website ( ) to see which permits you may need and what steps are involved.
• Do you own a restaurant or bar, or are you planning to open one? If so, you will likely need an operating license.

Finding a suitable location

Are you looking for commercial space or a plot of land in our municipality? You can contact local business associations, real estate agents, property developers, or other parties with listings in our region. They know which properties are available and can help you find a suitable location.

Additional information

In addition to reviewing the environmental plan any permits, you’ll also need to take care of other steps. These include, for example:

• Registering your business
• changing your address or activities
• information about personnel, insurance, and administration

You can handle these matters through the Chamber of Commerce (KVK). On the KVK website, you’ll find instructions on all the steps involved in starting, relocating, or expanding a business.
