Buying a house? First-time buyers can apply for a loan again

Starting September 13, first-time buyers in the municipality of West Maas en Waal can once again apply for a starter loan of €50,000 from the municipality to purchase their first home.

The starter loan is a loan that allows first-time buyers to borrow a little extra to purchase their first home. A starter loan bridges the gap between the maximum mortgage a first-time buyer can obtain and the price of their first home. "This allows us to give first-time buyers a real helping hand. And that's very welcome, given the current house prices," says Alderman Marieke van den Boom-Witzel.
