Renovation of the Bernhardstraat section in Boven-Leeuwen
Part of this street is in need of some repairs. This is the section between Florastraat and Faunastraat.
The main activities
- We are replacing several sections of the roadway
- We are redesigning the hard-surfaced strip between the roadway and the property line
- The current traffic-calming measures will remain in place at the same location, but in a different form
The preliminary design is complete
We created a preliminary design for the street. This design can be found at the bottom of the page among the downloadable files. Local residents were invited to provide feedback on it. All of these comments are included in a feedback report, which also contains the municipality’s responses. Based on the feedback report, the preliminary design was revised into a preliminary plan.
It’s up to local residents again to fill out the form
We would love to hear your thoughts on this new design. You had the opportunity to provide feedback on the preliminary design by filling out the feedback form. This was possible through Sunday, April 19. We are compiling all the feedback and comments into a feedback report. Based on this report, we will turn the preliminary design into a final design. We promised you that we would have this report and design ready by the end of May. Unfortunately, this will not be possible. It will likely be June 19.
Next steps
The street will be renovated based on the final design. We will carry out this work in 2026. We will send you another letter before we begin.
