Oath of office/pledge for the municipality of West Maas en Waal

1. I declare that I have taken note of the rules regarding integrity as laid down in the applicable legal provisions, the information security policy,the Clean Hands memorandum (code of conduct), the Code of Conduct for the use of ICT facilities, and the Fraud and M&O policy of the Municipality of West Maas en Waal.
2. I swear/promise that I will abide by these rules and, moreover, by the Constitution and other laws and regulations of the government.
3. I swear/promise that I will perform the duties assigned to me dutifully and conscientiously and behave as befits a good civil servant, that I will be careful, incorruptible, and reliable, and that I will not do anything that would damage the reputation of the office or the municipality.
4. I will not abuse the governmental power entrusted to me.
5. I handle confidential information and municipal property with care.
6. I am loyal to the administrative bodies of the municipality of West Maas en Waal and the policy it has adopted. 
7. I swear/promise that I will not accept any promise, favor, or gift from anyone to do or refrain from doing anything in my employment.
