Housing Vision
By 2030, West Maas en Waal will be known as an attractive place to live. This is one of our 15 spearheads from the Liveability Vision 2030.
With the Housing Vision, the municipality of West Maas en Waal and De Kernen pursue several goals:
- Housing Vision as a building block for the Environmental Vision for the core areas:
In 2022, we will start the (follow-up) process for the Environmental Vision West Maas en Waal. The Environmental Vision for the rural area forms the basis for this. We will broaden this vision to include other area types (including the villages) and further elaborate on other themes important for the physical living environment. The Housing Vision describes the vision for living in the core areas and thus forms an important building block for the environmental vision. - A practical basis for policy implementation:
the Housing Vision serves as a basis for plans by initiators related to living in West Maas en Waal. They are asked to take into account the policy principles of the municipality. And for the municipality, the Housing Vision is the starting point for assessing plans that do not directly fit within the possibilities of the zoning plan or the environmental plan. - Links to other policy areas:
A good living environment depends on more than just the home and its surroundings. It is therefore important to collaborate and establish links with various policy areas: an integrated approach. - Collaborative management:
The Housing Vision serves as the framework for performance agreements with De Kernen and the tenants' organization.
