West Maas en Waal considers next steps after preliminary injunction ruling

Yasemin Group has filed a preliminary injunction against the municipality of West Maas en Waal. The case concerns the validity of an agreement concluded between the municipality and Yasemin Group. On December 22, the court in Arnhem ruled in favor of Yasemin Group.  

The agreement covers three locations: Altforst, Wamel, and Maasbommel. Maasbommel is the subject of this preliminary relief proceeding. 
The preliminary relief proceedings concern the content of the agreement and whether there is a reservation. This reservation concerns the municipal council's approval of the location and obtaining an environmental permit for the location. The court ruled that the municipality must comply with the agreement.

Alderman Marieke van den Boom-Witzel: "The judge has issued a ruling. Local residents were the first to be informed of the verdict. We will use the Christmas break to consider what steps we will take next."
