Who is the Social Work Grant intended for?
The Social Welfare Grant is intended for a legal entity whose core activity is social welfare work and/or social services within the social domain and which has demonstrable experience in social welfare work. We award the grant to a single organization (ranked based on a comparative assessment). You have until August 23, 2026, to ask questions about the policy, the procedure, and/or the application form prior to the application period in order to clarify any uncertainties.

Recently, we have held a number of exploratory discussions with organizations that may be able to provide social services. We have compiled an overview of the questions they asked, along with the corresponding answers.
Grant application period
You must submit your grant application between September 1 and 15, 2026. We will not consider applications received before that date.
Grant Award Notice
You will receive a grant decision no later than October 18, 2026.
How do you apply for the Social Work Grant?
To apply for the grant, please fill out the application form.
You must include the following documents:
- A project plan: In this project plan, the applicant describes how the social welfare work will be carried out. The plan must comply with the policy guidelines and is an integral part of the grant application. The project plan may be up to 20 pages long, not including the table of contents and any appendices.
- A budget with a funding plan broken down by component in broad terms. This shows which costs are covered by the grant.
- the most recent annual report containing the most recent financial statements. The financial statements must, among other things, show that equity was not negative during the most recent fiscal year.
- A signed reference confirming that the applicant has performed social work in (most of) the areas described in Chapter 3 of the policy rule in a comparable municipality. This must include a signed statement of satisfaction from the referrer’s contract manager.
- a recent extract from the Chamber of Commerce.
