Roads are closed or traffic is disrupted in various locations throughout our municipality. This is because we, utility companies, or contractors are working on the roads. Below are the most important ones.
Road closures in the Fruitbuurt neighborhood of Beneden-Leeuwen, May 11 through June 12
Location
- Fruitplein and Perenstraat, in 4 phases

- Dijkstraat: partial road closure from Monday, June 1 through June 19
- Waalbandijk: Road closure at house number 67; as a result, through traffic will not be permitted from June 8 through June 19

Traffic disruptions on the dike along the Meuse River, May 11 through September 20
Location
- Appeltern partial road closures at several locations between Alphen Appeltern

Traffic disruptions at the Van Heemstraweg–Veesteeg–Waterstraat roundabout have been postponed; a new date will be announced
Location
- There is traffic congestion at the roundabout due to construction vehicles entering and exiting the site. This also applies to the bike path.

Partial road closure on Kerkstraat in Wamel, May 18 through June 12
Location
- Kerkstraat, house numbers 13 through 29. In this section, traffic is temporarily restricted to one-way traffic only, from Dorpsstraat toward Clarevelt.

Prince Willem-Alexander Bridge (N323)
Starting September 29, 2023, a weight restriction will be in effect on the side lanes of the Prince Willem Alexander Bridge (N323). (This does not apply to the main lanes.)
The maximum weight limit on the parallel lanes is 45,000 kg. This is indicated by signs. Traffic lights are in place to distribute the weight of loaded vehicles. This ensures that only one heavy vehicle can travel at a time.
