Appeltern Water Park
During heavy rain, water Appeltern pools on the streets in Appeltern . There is also little greenery in the village to absorb the water. Heavy rain can therefore lead to water damage. We want to prevent this. That is why, in the coming years, we will be diverting rainwater to areas where it won’t cause any harm.
Small park on Van Rechterenstraat
On the northern edge of Appeltern a municipal plot of land. We will be storing rainwater on part of this plot. There will also be opportunities for walking.
Open House
On November 10, we held an open house at De Schuur, located at 25 Kerkstraat in Appeltern. You had the opportunity to watch a video of the water park. There was also plenty of time to ask questions. You can find the drawing of the water park at the bottom of this page among the downloadable files.
Next steps
We are continuing to develop the plans and will be looking for a contractor in the middle of next year.
We plan to plant the trees around November 2026. Construction of the park will begin in early 2027.
