Offering a vehicle for sale on public roads
What is it?
- It is prohibited to park a vehicle on public roads for the purpose of selling it.
- If you still wish to do so, you will need an exemption.
Please note
You are allowed to drive around with a sign saying "for sale" stuck on your vehicle.
What should I do?
You apply for the exemption at the municipality.
What do I need?
- valid registration certificate
- statement regarding the location of your car and the period during which it will be offered for sale
How long will it take?
You will receive notification within 8 weeks as to whether you will be granted the exemption.
Lodge an objection
If you disagree with the municipality's decision, you can lodge an objection within six weeks.
