Do you have a bat in your house? And do you urgently need an expert who can provide you with information and help resolve any complaints? Then you can contact volunteers affiliated with the bat network in Gelderland, an initiative of Stichting Landschapsbeheer Gelderland (Gelderland Landscape Management Foundation) and Vleermuizenwerkgroep Gelderland (Gelderland Bat Working Group, VleGel). You can also contact them outside office hours.

A total of 21 different species of bats have been observed in the Netherlands, seven of which occur regularly. All bats in the Netherlands are protected by law.
Some people find these aerial acrobats fascinating, while others find bats frightening. Few people realize that bats play an important role in nature. Equally unknown is how these nocturnal animals live and what behavior they exhibit. The volunteers affiliated with the network can tell you about this and help you resolve your complaint. Do not attempt to deal with the bat yourself. Volunteers have been trained to handle the situation in a professional manner.
