A vibrant and future-proof business environment
West Maas en Waal is building a healthy and future-oriented environment for entrepreneurs. From our unique location in the 'Land of Maas en Waal', we create ample opportunities for growth, with an eye for the environment and the landscape. By providing space for entrepreneurs and visitors, we focus on quality and sustainability. We aim to be a place where both businesses and people feel welcome and can develop.
In our vision, we focus on four themes that guide our decisions for the future:
- Valuable work along the Waal River
- West Maas en Waal focuses on sustainable revitalization and restructuring of existing business parks
- Outdated industrial sites offer opportunities for residential development
- In the development of new business parks, the focus is on the Waalkant
- The concentration of companies (within the same sector) is encouraged
- A huge crowd along the Meuse
- In developing tourism and recreational offerings, the focus is on a balanced distribution
- We encourage the addition of year-round day-use recreational activities
- Enabling sustainable agriculture
- Agricultural businesses in rural areas have the flexibility to organize recreational side activities
- From Vacancy to Prosperity
- Filling vacant properties is a market-driven process
- The appointment of a regional coordinator is the responsibility of local business owners
These themes underscore our commitment to revitalizing industrial parks, spreading out tourism and recreational developments, supporting sustainable agriculture, and facilitating solutions to vacancy rates.
