Confidential advisor in youth care
What is it?
Youth voice/Adviespunt Zorgbelang is the organization of confidential advisors in youth care. Anyone who has to deal with youth care and has questions about it can contact them. This includes children, young people, and adults.
A Youth Voice or Care Interest Advisory Point confidential advisor:
- provides information and advice to young people, parents, and caregivers and explains how youth care works;
- supports clients with complaints about youth care;
- provides information about rights and legal status in youth care;
- contributes to improving the quality of youth care.
How does it work?
A confidential advisor can accompany you to meetings with the municipality or a social worker. The confidential advisor can also help you file a complaint with a complaints committee or lodge an objection with the municipality.
Support from the confidential advisor at Jeugdstem/Adviespunt Zorgbelang is free of charge. Jeugdstem is an independent foundation; the confidential advisors are not employed by municipalities, neighborhood or youth teams, or Centers for Youth & Family (CJ&G).
