Confidential Advisor in Youth Services
What is it?
Youth Voice/Adviespunt Zorgbelang is an organization of confidential advisors in youth care. Anyone involved in youth care who has questions about it can contact them—children, young people, and adults alike.
A Youth Voice representative or a Zorgbelang confidential advisor:
- provides information and advice to young people, parents, and caregivers, and explains how the youth care system works;
- assists clients with complaints regarding youth services;
- provides information about rights and legal status in youth care;
- contributes to improving the quality of youth care.
How does it work?
A support person can accompany you to meetings with the municipality or a social worker. The support person can also help you file a complaint with a complaints committee or file an appeal with the municipality.
Support from the Jeugdstem/Adviespunt Zorgbelang confidential advisor is free of charge. Jeugdstem is an independent foundation; the confidential advisors are not employed by municipalities, neighborhood or youth teams, or Centers for Youth & Family (CJ&G).
