Versis (supplementary regional transportation)
What is it?
Supplementary regional transportation refers to transportation by passenger car, taxi, or wheelchair-accessible bus for people who cannot travel by any other means.
Transportation assistance through the municipality
Are you no longer able to get around on your own by bike, bus, or train? And are you unable to arrange transportation with the help of friends or family? If so, you can ask the municipality for help.
The municipality will assess your situation and determine why you need transportation. They will then propose a solution. This could be a taxi pass for Versis. It could also be another solution or transportation service, if that is appropriate for your situation. To do so, please contact VraagWijzer. VraagWijzer reached at 0487 790 790.
Versis
Versis offers door-to-door taxi service. You must book a ride through the carrier. With Versis, you usually travel with other passengers. You share the taxi bus with other passengers. As a result, the trip may take a little longer.
Versis provides door-to-door service, so you don’t have to wait at a stop. The taxi buses run every weekday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. On weekends, they run from 9:00 a.m. to midnight.
How much does it cost?
Traveling with Versis isn’t free. With a special taxi pass, you’ll receive a discount on Versis. This brings the price closer to that of “regular” public transportation. You’ll also always have to pay a copayment. Visit the Versis website for more information about the costs and the number of kilometers you can travel.
