Starting October 1: The Avri waste pass is valid throughout the region and is also required for the textile container

This is an old post.

Starting October 1, 2025, your Avri waste card will be valid in all eight municipalities within the Avri region, not just at the container in your own neighborhood. Also new: the Avri waste card is now required to open the underground textile containers in Rivierenland. Dropping off textiles remains free of charge.

Avri waste pass required for textile containers

Starting Wednesday, October 1, Avri’s underground textile containers can only be used with a waste card. Avri hopes this will improve the quality of the collected textiles and prevent anonymous dumping. Dropping off textiles remains free of charge.

All residents who did not yet have a waste collection pass have now received one from Avri.

Textile containers emptied on time thanks to a sensor

The underground textile collection bins are equipped with a sensor that alerts staff when a bin is starting to fill up. This allows Avri to empty the bins in a timely manner, ensuring that no one is left standing in front of a full textile collection bin.

Waste pass valid throughout the region starting October 1

Starting October 1, the use of locked collection containers will no longer be limited to one’s own village or municipality. Residents will then be able to use their waste pass for all textile containers and containers for incontinence products and diapers in the eight municipalities of the Avri region. Residents who currently use the waste card for the underground residual waste container in their neighborhood will then also be able to use all other residual waste containers in the region.
