Has moving become more difficult, or are you afraid of falling? Then, in West Maas en Waal, there are special training courses for residents aged 65 and older with an increased risk of falling. These training courses help you to become stronger, improve your balance, and move with more confidence again.

Recognize your own risk of falling

Are you in a high-risk group? Answer the following questions:

  • Do you have trouble walking or keeping your balance?
  • Are you afraid of falling?
  • Have you fallen in the past year?

Did you answer “yes” to one or more of these questions?
You are at a higher risk of falling. Fall prevention training can help you reduce this risk.

Training Courses in West Maas en Waal

  • In Balance – a 13-week group program for older adults at moderate risk, focusing on balance, relaxation, and fall prevention
  • Otago – an individual or small-group program lasting up to 12 months, focused on muscle strength, balance, and mobility. Also suitable for frail older adults, with an additional walking program
