Job opening: HR employee
Are you accurate, digitally skilled, knowledgeable about salaries, and energized by improving HR processes? Then we are looking for you! The Operations Team (HR cluster) of the municipality of West Maas en Waal is looking for an HR employee for 24 hours per week.
What are you going to do?
As an HR employee, you are the link that ensures that everything related to personnel and salaries runs smoothly. You process personnel and salary data carefully and on time. Thanks to your knowledge of payroll administration, you know what it takes to do this well. You are the first point of contact for both our employees and our external payroll processor when it comes to salaries. You submit monthly salary changes, check the output, and discuss your findings. Together with the finance department, you take action on matters relating to the work-related expenses scheme. In addition, in this versatile position, you will be responsible for both administrative and substantive HR tasks. You will provide a solid foundation and contribute to innovation. You will actively contribute ideas on how we can make our systems and working methods smarter and more efficient. With your eye for improvement and natural communication skills, you will make a difference every day.
Your work is varied and touches on almost all HR processes. You:
- Manages personnel files and ensures correct digital archiving;
- Supports HR advisors in the recruitment, retention, and onboarding processes and arranges everything for the oath of office;
- Processes and handles parental leave and UWV applications;
- Responsible for leave and anniversary administration;
- Prepares all kinds of reports, such as absenteeism figures, staffing and occupancy overviews.
You work closely with your colleague in personnel administration, and together you ensure that everything runs smoothly.
What do we expect from you?
You enjoy taking initiative and showing initiative. You are eager to get started improving and innovating our (work) processes. You are quick to adapt, set the right priorities, and maintain an overview, even when things get busy. Colleagues find you easy to approach thanks to your enthusiastic and accessible attitude.
You also have:
- A completed MBO+ degree in the field of personnel & organization/HR;
- Extensive experience in a similar position and knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (Collective Labor Agreement for Municipalities);
- Extensive experience with payroll processing: you understand every detail of a payslip;
- Experience with Youforce from Visma Raet (is a must);
- Experience with or affinity for working in a case management system, preferably Decos JOIN.
What do we offer you?
- A salary of up to €4,015 (job scale 7) for a 36-hour working week. The salary depends on your education and experience.
- An employment contract for a period of one year. If performance is satisfactory, we will convert this into a permanent contract;
- A monthly supplement of 17.05% on top of your gross salary: the Individual Choice Budget (IKB). This consists of vacation pay, life-course savings contribution, and end-of-year bonus. You can use this for extra salary, vacation hours, or a new bicycle, for example.
- Do you have a student loan with DUO? Then you can use your IKB to repay part of it each year:
- A good pension plan with ABP pension fund;
- You can work partly from home and will be provided with a phone and laptop on loan;
- A commuting allowance and a working from home allowance;
- A vitality allowance of €500 gross per year (based on a 36-hour working week). For example, for a gym membership, sportswear, or a visit to the sauna;
- Your daily serving of fruit;
- Ample and free parking spaces for your car and bicycle;
