Omgevingsdienst Rivierenland 's law enforcement officers will begin wearing body cameras
From now on, you may encounter inspectors and special enforcement officers from the Office for the Supervision of the Environment and Nature Conservation ( Omgevingsdienst Rivierenland , ODR) wearing body cameras. They wear these cameras for their own safety. The body camera does not record continuously, but can be turned on if a situation threatens to escalate or becomes unsafe.

Omgevingsdienst Rivierenland carries out tasks for our municipality in areas such as the environment and construction. ODR inspectors and special enforcement officers regularly go out into the field for this purpose, for example, to conduct inspections at businesses and other locations. In doing so, they may encounter aggression, threats, or violence.
Before an officer turns on the body camera, he or she warns the person or persons involved. The camera is primarily intended to prevent aggression and threats and to keep situations from escalating further.
When images are taken, Omgevingsdienst Rivierenland handles them with care. Strict rules apply to the viewing, use, and storage of the images.
