Invitation: Help shape the future of the municipality of West Maas en Waal!
We want West Maas en Waal to be a great place to live and work, both now and in the future. That is why we are examining what West Maas en Waal needs to continue functioning effectively in the future. This is called a governance capacity study. Berenschot, an external consulting firm, is conducting this study on behalf of the municipality.
As part of this process, Berenschot will examine, among other things, the municipal government, the municipal organization, finances, and collaboration. West Maas en Waal features engaged residents, strong community organizations, and active entrepreneurs. Their experiences, ideas, and wishes are valuable to this study. That is why we are organizing three meetings. We would love to hear what you consider important for the future of our municipality.
Dates and Locations
You are welcome to attend one of the following meetings. It doesn't matter where you live or work, as long as it's within our municipality.
- Wednesday, October 7, 1:30–3:30 p.m., MFA D’n Hoender in Dreumel
- Thursday, October 8, 7:00–9:00 p.m., MFA Het Hanzehuys in Maasbommel
- Tuesday, October 13, 7:00–9:00 p.m., Kulturhus D’n Dulper, Boven-Leeuwen
Please register by October 5 at the latest using the registration form.

During the meeting, we'll discuss these questions together:
- What do you think is going well in West Maas en Waal , and what should we keep? What could be improved? And what do you think is important for your village and for the municipality?
- How can we work together to shape the future of West Maas en Waal? What role do you expect the municipality to play in this? And what role can residents, business owners, associations, and organizations play?
Berenschot distills the results into key insights. They incorporate these into a plan for the coming years.
