Successful regional marketing partnership extended
On Monday, March 2, Alderman van den Boom-Witzel and Alderman Thoonen of the Municipality of Druten renewed the partnership for regional marketing in the Land van Maas en Waal. Both municipalities and the Tourism Bureau Foundation intend to continue working together to build an attractive and welcoming Land van Maas en Waal.

The regional marketing advisory group was also present at the signing ceremony. This clearly demonstrated what this partnership is really all about: municipalities, businesses, and organizations working together to Map the Land van Maas en Waal.
Building a strong regional brand together
In recent years, regional marketing has evolved into a collaborative network where government and business leaders come together. In the sounding board group, entrepreneurs from sectors including hospitality, day recreation, culture, and the lodging sector actively contribute ideas on campaigns, promotions, and target audiences. Their daily experiences with tourists are invaluable. This results in an approach that is supported not only by the administration but, above all, by the people who welcome visitors every day. This ensures broad support, recognition, and concrete results for the region.
Director and connector
The Tourism Bureau Foundation acts as a coordinator and facilitator. It develops a joint marketing plan, monitors progress, and links regional initiatives to larger provincial campaigns. Through this smart collaboration, the campaigns reinforce one another. This increases visibility and attracts more visitors to the Land van Maas en Waal.
2026: A Year Dedicated to Recreational Routes
The year 2026 will be entirely dedicated to recreational cycling and hiking trails. With additional support from the province of Gelderland, efforts will focus on raising awareness and promoting cycling and hiking trails in this much-praised region between the two rivers.
