Subsidy for masterpieces Expedition across the Meuse
Volunteers from Expedition over de Maas (EODM) have made some remarkable archaeological discoveries on the Meuse River in recent years. They have excavated ships from the Middle Ages. Many objects from Roman times were recovered from the sand dredger. These tell a unique story about our region.
EODM is collaborating with Museum Tweestromenland on an exhibition. You will soon be able to admire the highlights in the museum. There are unique weapons from Roman times and historical tools.
On Tuesday, September 8, the West Maas en Waal municipal council awarded a subsidy to EODM for the restoration and exhibition. The municipality, together with Nederzand Projectmanagement BV, is paying for the restoration of several masterpieces.
