Sjors Sportief & Creatief officially opened at De Terebint in Wamel

This festive opening marked the start of registration for hundreds of elementary school children, who can use the well-known booklet to explore a wide range of sports and creative activities.

Sjors Sportief & Creatief makes it easy for children to participate in activities in their own municipality without having to join a club right away. The brochure has been distributed to all elementary schools, and registration is available at www.meedoeninmaasenwaal.nl.

During the opening ceremony, Alderman emphasized the importance of exploration and participation: “It’s wonderful to see how excited the children are about what’s on offer. Being active, engaging in creative activities, and doing things together isn’t just healthy—it’s also a lot of fun.”

The program consists of a wide range of activities offered by local organizations, professionals, and volunteers. Through this, Sjors Sportief & Creatief helps foster a healthy, active, and promising future for young people in Druten and West Maas en Waal.
