Cleanup Day with Elementary Schools

Every year, we organize a special cleanup day with primary school students in West Maas en Waal. This is a great opportunity for children to work together with their classmates and clean up the environment.

What are they going to do?

During the cleanup day, the students will attend a guest lecture by an inspiring speaker. Afterward, they will pick up litter in the streets, parks, and playgrounds. The students will be provided with handy litter pickers and trash bags, so they can work safely and effectively. They will also learn why it’s important to keep our environment clean and how litter affects nature.

Why is this important?

This way, we’re not only making our community cleaner, but we’re also teaching the children to take responsibility for their environment. Working together and respecting nature are important lessons we want to instill in them. It’s also a fun way to get to know each other better and do something good together.
