Cleanup day with elementary schools

Every year, we organize a special cleanup day with the students from the elementary schools in West Maas en Waal. This is a fun opportunity for the children to work together with their classmates and clean up the environment.

What are they going to do?

During the clean-up day, the students receive a guest lecture from an inspiring speaker. Afterwards, they go out to clean up litter in the streets, parks, and playgrounds. The students are given handy grabbers and trash bags so they can work safely and effectively. They also learn why it is important to keep our environment clean and what litter does to nature.

Why is this important?

This not only makes our community cleaner, but also teaches children to be responsible for their environment. Working together and respecting nature are important lessons we want to impart. It is also a fun way to get to know each other better and do something good together.
