Methods and resources
In an audit, municipal policy and its implementation are assessed against the municipality’s objectives. The municipal council use this information to make adjustments as needed. In addition to providing general guidance, municipal council also allows the municipal council to focus on more specific aspects of the policy.
The Court of Audit determines its own audit topics, but anyone can suggest topics, including council factions, the mayor and aldermen, the civil service, the Court of Audit itself, and other audit offices. Residents can also suggest topics.
