Rivierenland Region
West Maas en Waal a member of Regio Rivierenland. Regio Rivierenland fosters effective cooperation among the eight municipalities located in the Betuwe, Bommelerwaard, and Land van Maas en Waal regions, enabling them to stand stronger together. This cooperation ensures a livable Rivierenland where people can enjoy living, working, and spending their leisure time.
The Rivierenland Region has adopted the 2022–2025 Regional Ambition Document, titled “ .” This document outlines the initiatives the Rivierenland Region will pursue to stimulate the development of the regional agribusiness, economy, logistics, recreation, and tourism sectors.
In 2017, the Rivierenland Region established the Regional Investment Fund (RIF). This fund is designed to give you that final push you need to bring your plans to fruition. This support is not only financial but also takes the form of knowledge, experience, and practical assistance. In June 2022, the successor to this investment fund, the Regional Incentive Fund, was launched.
