Polder beachcombers collect 300 kilograms of litter
Last Saturday, the 'polderjutters' (formerly 'Maas- en Waaljutters') cleaned the inland area of the municipality of West Maas en Waal for the second year in a row. On this sunny day, 13 associations collected no less than 300 kilograms of litter.

Working Together for a Clean Community
Armed with grabbers and trash bags, the organizations set out to clean up various areas in the municipality. For example, along the dike in Boven-Leeuwen, around De Meren Nature Reserve in Dreumel along the Munsedijk in Appeltern.
Alderman Jan Slootweg is proud of the dedication of the enthusiastic volunteers:
“It’s great to see how residents are helping to keep the area clean. Together, we’re making a difference.”
This initiative not only helps keep the environment clean, but also raises awareness about litter.
