Polder beachcombers back at work

Since 2023, we have been organizing litter cleanups in our municipality. Twice a year, local organizations head out to pick up litter. In this way, we work together to ensure a clean and safe living environment. Organizations can now sign up for the upcoming cleanup days.
When is beachcombing done?
We will be organizing another polder cleanup on Saturday, April 11, and Saturday, October 3, 2026. A total of 13 organizations can participate. In recognition of their efforts, the organizations will receive a stipend of at least 400 euros. The amount of this stipend depends, among other things, on the size of the area being cleaned.
Selection Process When There Are More Applications Than Available Spots
The number of clubs that can participate depends on the number of available areas. If there are more applications than available areas, we will select participants based on the following order:
- Priority will be given to clubs that have not participated in beachcombing before.
- Next are the clubs that haven't participated in the longest.
- If necessary, we will then hold a drawing.
Participating organizations
Out of 26 applications, 13 clubs were selected to participate in beachcombing this year.
In the fall, these clubs will conduct another cleanup to remove litter. They will also receive a stipend for their club funds.
