Parking of large vehicles
What is it?
Parking of large vehicles on the road is permitted during the day between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. It is not permitted between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.
Would you still like to park a large vehicle on the street? If so, you must apply for a permit from the municipality. The municipality does not issue permits for parking in residential areas.
How does it work?
You need a parking permit in the following cases:
- Your vehicle is longer than 6 meters or taller than 2.4 meters
- You want to park Monday through Friday between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. or on the weekend
Please note
If you have a motorhome, trailer, or camper van that is longer than 6 meters or taller than 2.4 meters, you may park it on the street for up to 3 days. You do not need to apply for a permit to do so.
What should I do?
You must apply for the exemption with the municipality. Please provide the following information:
- your name and address
- your vehicle's information
- the street where you want to park the vehicle
- the date and time you want to park the vehicle
- Why you want to park your large vehicle on the road
How long does it take?
You will be notified within 8 weeks whether your exemption has been granted.
File an objection
If you disagree with the municipality’s decision, you can file an objection within 6 weeks.
