Care (Wmo)
What is it?
You may have left your home due to domestic violence and are therefore looking for shelter. Domestic violence refers to violence perpetrated by family members, partners, or caregivers. You may also have left home for another reason.
The municipality can help you if you need shelter. It provides housing and support to people who have left their home situation and are unable to manage on their own in society. The goal is to help you become self-sufficient in society as quickly as possible. The municipality is here to assist you with this.
How does it work?
Each municipality is responsible for providing assistance to its residents.
The municipality may, however, outsource these tasks to another municipality in your area. That municipality will then determine whether you are eligible for the service and notify you of its decision. If you are eligible, that municipality will also provide the service to you.
The municipality may charge a fee for this service.
What should I do?
Go to city hall and report the problems you are having.
The municipality will then explore the available options and conduct an investigation. If your municipality has outsourced these tasks to another municipality, you can still file a report with your own municipality. Your municipality will then ensure that your report is forwarded to the other municipality.
How long does it take?
Once you have submitted your report to VraagWijzer processed as soon as possible. There are currently delays, so you will have to wait longer than usual. After we receive the report, which includes your request for a municipal solution, we will notify you as soon as possible whether you are eligible.
