Care (Wmo)
What is it?
You may have left your home due to domestic violence and are therefore seeking shelter. Domestic violence refers to violence perpetrated by family members, partners, or caregivers. You may also have left your home for other reasons.
The municipality can help you if you need shelter. Accommodation and guidance are provided to people who have left their home situation and who cannot cope on their own in society. The aim is to help you get back on your feet in society as quickly as possible. You will receive assistance with this.
How does it work?
Each municipality is responsible for providing shelter for its citizens.
The municipality can outsource the tasks to another municipality in your area. This municipality will then determine whether you are eligible for childcare and inform you of its decision. If you are eligible, this municipality will also provide you with the childcare.
The municipality may request a contribution towards the costs.
What should I do?
You go to the municipality and report the problems you are experiencing.
The municipality will then look into the options and conduct an investigation. If your municipality has outsourced the tasks to another municipality, you can still report the matter to your own municipality. Your municipality will then ensure that your report is forwarded to the other municipality.
How long will it take?
After you have registered with VraagWijzer, your report will be processed as soon as possible. There are currently waiting times. You will have to wait longer than usual. After receiving the report, which includes the application for a municipal solution, you will be notified as soon as possible whether you are eligible for this.
