Exhumation and reburial or cremation
What is it?
You want to rebury a deceased person in another location or have them cremated. To do this, you want to have the deceased exhumed. This is only possible if you:
- have permission from the person(s) entitled to the grave
- have a permit from the municipality
What should I do?
- You apply for the permit from the municipality. You must do this either within two months of the funeral or at least 10 years after it.
- You can also have this done by a funeral director.
