Entrepreneurs Fund

An entrepreneurs' fund offers entrepreneurs a collective opportunity to make their own shopping area attractive and ensures that all entrepreneurs in the area contribute to the implementation of the plans. The projects, which are paid for from the entrepreneurs' fund, are determined by the entrepreneurs based on the objectives set.

There are three options for organizing an entrepreneur fund:

1. The introduction of the Leiden model
2. The imposition of advertising tax
3. The introduction of a BIZ (Business Investment Zone)

The Verrassend Leeuwen business association, together with the municipality of West Maas en Waal, has investigated the possibilities for the center of Beneden-Leeuwen. It has been decided to levy advertising tax in the center of Beneden-Leeuwen from January 1, 2018.

All entrepreneurs in the center with advertising receive a tax assessment at the beginning of each year and pay an amount based on the WOZ value. The WOZ value scale can be downloaded below. The total amount goes to the Beneden-Leeuwen Entrepreneurs Fund Foundation (hereinafter: SOBL) so that they have more budget for (new) events, the village concierge, and promotional activities. The goal is to create a safe and attractive shopping center!
