Entrepreneurs' Fund
A business fund gives business owners a collective opportunity to make their shopping district more attractive and ensures that all business owners in the area contribute to the implementation of the plans. The projects, which are funded by the business fund, are determined by the business owners based on the established goals.
There are three ways to set up an entrepreneurship fund:
- Implementation of the Leiden Model
- The Imposition of Advertising Tax
- The establishment of a BIZ (Business Investment Zone)
The Verrassend Leeuwen Business Association, in collaboration with the municipality West Maas en Waal , has Beneden-Leeuwen West Maas en Waal for the downtown area of Beneden-Leeuwen . It was decided to impose an advertising tax in the downtown area of Beneden-Leeuwen, effective January 1, 2018.
All business owners in the town center with advertising signage receive a tax assessment at the beginning of each year and pay an amount based on their property tax assessment value. The WOZ value scale can be downloaded below. The total amount goes to the Beneden-Leeuwen Business Fund Foundation Beneden-Leeuwen hereinafter: SOBL) so that they have a larger budget for (new) events, the village concierge, and promotional activities. Our goal is a safe and attractive shopping district!
