Head into the nature reserve
What is it?
You are not allowed to enter a nature reserve with a car, motorcycle, moped, bicycle, or horse without permission. You need a permit from the municipality to do so.
You do not need to apply for an exemption if you:
- if you want to drive on public roads in the nature reserve
- lives in the area
- is responsible for the management and maintenance of the area
How does it work?
The municipality decides whether you will be granted the exemption. The municipality does this to prevent damage to the environment or nature. It also does this to prevent disruption to other visitors, such as hikers.

- the period during which you wish to use the exemption
- which vehicle you plan to use to enter the nature reserve (including license plate number)
What do I need?
- your valid ID
How long does it take?
You will be notified within 8 weeks whether your exemption has been granted.
