Request a Marketplace
What is it?
If you would like to have a spot at the market, you must apply for a market permit from the municipality. This applies to all types of markets:
- daily market
- weekly market
- annual fair (such as a Christmas market)
How does it work?
You can apply for a spot at the market if you:
- is registered with the Chamber of Commerce.
- are legally competent.
Permanent spot
The waiting time for a permanent position varies by market and industry. If you are on a waiting list, you must have your spot renewed every year.
Day spot
Every market day, the market manager assigns temporary stalls by sector to temporary vendors. Temporary stalls are permanent stalls that become available when a vendor with a permanent stall is absent. The municipality immediately issues the permit that allows you to register as a temporary vendor.
What should I do?
You must apply for the permit from the municipality. In your application, please specify which market you wish to set up at and what you will be selling.
How much does it cost?
The market fees are
- €1.76 per location, per linear meter
- For a calendar-quarter subscription for each location,€21.00 per linear meter
Additional information
A marketplace permit is different from a stall permit. You need a stall permit if you want to set up a stall in a public outdoor space, such as on or along a public road.
The permit is issued in your name, but it is transferable. If you know a business owner who would like to take over your business, you can ask the municipality for permission to transfer your permit.
Would you like to sell your goods from a stall? If so, apply for a stall permit from the municipality.
What do I need?
- a valid form of identification
- proof that you are insured for general liability while conducting business at the market
