Local Social Agreement 2018-2021

Whereas:

• That all parties (continue to) commit to a more entrepreneurial West Maas and Waal;
• That parties cooperate intensively with each other in the socio-economic sphere;
• That the experiences and results achieved in the period from 2014 to 2017 justify a continuation of the cooperation.

Do the following match:

Objectives

• Improving the business climate in the municipality of West Maas en Waal;
• Increasing employment in the municipality of West Maas en Waal;
• Reducing the number of benefit recipients in the municipality of West Maas en Waal;
• Promoting the participation of benefit recipients in society;
• Combating low literacy.
   

Intended results

In order to achieve the objectives, the parties mentioned in the preamble commit themselves to implementing the Implementation Program "Local Social Agreement 2018-2021 West Maas en Waal" and the projects mentioned therein. Parties have the right to propose projects for inclusion that contribute to the achievement of the objectives. 

Parties

• By signing the "Local Social Agreement 2018-021 West Maas en Waal," they commit to implementing the "Implementation Program Local Social Agreement 2018-2021 West Maas en Waal."
• Report at least twice a year on the results and outcomes of the activities carried out within the framework of the "Implementation Program Local Social Agreement 2018-2021 West Maas and Waal."

Municipality:

• Has the internal coordinating role with regard to the "Implementation Program for the Local Social Agreement 2018-2021 West Maas en Waal";
• Takes charge of and coordinates the monitoring of the outcomes, results, progress, and communication of the "Local Social Agreement 2018-2021 West Maas en Waal";

Organized business community:

• Will continuously inform and enthuse its supporters about the "Implementation Program for the Local Social Agreement 2018-2021 West Maas en Waal" and the resulting obligations and efforts;
• Will proactively approach her supporters to participate in the projects mentioned in the "Implementation Program Local Social Agreement 2018-2021 West Maas en Waal";
• Periodically discusses the progress of the "Implementation Program Local Social Agreement 2018-2021 West Maas en Waal" with the municipality and provides input.

Workplace Rivierenland

Contributes to the assignment as laid down in the Rivierenland Joint Arrangement for Work and Employment, with two points of attention: 

• Adequate employer services will be provided (matching supply and demand in the local labor market).
• Responsible for equipping and guiding candidates from Werkzaak Rivierenland into the labor market.

West Maas and Waal Work Cooperative

• Develops and implements activities that contribute to the development and/or participation of benefit recipients in society and the labor market.

The parties involved express their intention to use project subsidies, fundraising, and other arrangements to achieve the intended results.
The parties involved will participate at least twice a year in the meetings of the Social Economic Platform (SEP), where the progress of the "Implementation Program Local Social Agreement 2018-2021 West Maas en Waal" will be monitored, assessed, evaluated, and adjusted if necessary.
