Work-study program, obtain basic qualification
What is it?
Are you younger than 27 and do you not have a diploma or basic qualification? Then you can still obtain a basic qualification through a work-study program. The municipality offers you extra support with this.
How does it work?
If you belong to one of the following target groups, you can receive support for a work-study program:
- you are 16 or 17 years old and subject to compulsory education; or
- you are between 18 and 27 years old and have not yet obtained a basic qualification.
You can only receive support for a work-study program if:
- the municipality believes that a work-study program is necessary and
- the support is needed to follow a work-study program.
The costs of guidance during or leading up to a work-study program will be reimbursed.
What should I do?
The municipality can offer you support with a work-study program. Via Lerenenwerken.nl, you can search for a Leerwerkloket (work-study center) in your area and make an appointment with an advisor for free advice about learning and working.
