Redevelopment of Korenbloemstraat Boven-Leeuwen
The road surface on Korenbloemstraat is in poor condition. That is why we are going to replace it. The sewer system also needs to be replaced. Together, these factors mean that we are going to redesign the street.
The main tasks we will be working on
- Replacing sections of the old sewer system
- Installation of a new storm sewer system
- adjusting the width of the road
- replacing the asphalt with stones
- make room for more green spaces
- Renovating the recreational areas, which include the playground and the field across from it

On Tuesday, September 22, there was a pleasant and well-attended residents’ meeting at D’n Dulper. We gave a presentation explaining the project. Afterward, we spoke with the local residents in small groups.
You had the opportunity to share your thoughts on the preliminary design by filling out a feedback form. The deadline for submitting feedback was Monday, October 5. The preliminary design can be found at the bottom of the page among the downloadable files.

Disconnecting the rainwater system
We are installing a storm sewer in the street. This will help reduce flooding during heavy rain. You can help, too!
You can do this by disconnecting the downspout from the storm sewer system. This can only be done at the front of the house. You can find more information about this in the flyer titled “Disconnecting Korenbloemstraat.” The disconnect is free of charge, and we’ll take care of it for you.
Would you like to participate? If so, please fill out the “Korenbloemstraat Disconnection” form. We’ll stop by your home while the redevelopment project is underway. Together, we’ll assess whether disconnection is possible.
