Royal Honor for Ms. Warlam of Wamel

On Monday, June 17, Ms. Warlam of Wamel a Royal Honor for her significant community service. Mayor Vincent van Neerbos surprised her that afternoon during a gathering celebrating her 25th anniversary as a volunteer.
Ms. Warlam has been a volunteer at De Luisterlijn Nijmegen since 1999. For 25 years, she has been listening to people who need a sympathetic ear. She carries out this work with great care and a great deal of empathy. Vincent van Neerbos: “A dedicated and passionate volunteer who is always there and able to seek out a solution or a change in the situation.”
Ms. Warlam has also been the organist at the Kloosterkerk Sint Antonius van Padua in Megen for 10 years and is on call as an organist for the Open-Leur services in Lent. Since 2017, she has also served as organist and choir director Wamel the Roman Catholic Church of St. Victor in Wamel .
Ms. Warlam has been appointed a Member of the Order of Orange-Nassau.
