Additional information
The municipality, the Land Registry, and other private and public agencies are responsible for land surveying. The Land Registry’s survey is decisive in determining the area of a parcel. The municipality (or the Land Registry on behalf of the municipality) also surveys the so-called underground infrastructure, such as cables and pipes, and records this information on a Map.
Surveying data is topographic data. This includes, for example, data on the elevation and area of land or buildings, as well as data from measurements of trees, cables, pipes, and property lines. The municipality uses this data when drafting the environmental plan.
