‘Jeugd aan Zet’ funding proves to be a hit

This is an old message.

The €10,000 that the municipality of West Maas en Waal received from the government has already been spent in its entirety.

Activities for and by young people

This money was intended to organize activities for and by young people during the coronavirus pandemic. Despite the well-known restrictions, many organizations managed to come up with a wide variety of activities.
Not only youth groups and sports clubs, but also care farms, a carnival association, a fishing club, and a village platform, among others, came up with good ideas. One or more youth activities were or are being organized in all villages.

37 COVID-safe activities

"I am very pleased, especially for our young people, that we were able to quickly set up a simple and popular scheme with the welfare organization Sociom. I would also like to thank all the organizers for their cooperation. With the €10,000, we have rewarded no fewer than 37 coronavirus-safe activities in our eight villages with a contribution of at least €250," said Alderman Rob Reuvers.
