We work together to build our beautiful community. Because as a resident, you know what it’s like to live here. You have experience, knowledge, and surely some ideas as well. That’s why we believe it’s important to involve you, as much as possible, in what the municipality does. We have established a policy on this: (855 kB).

A very important step is the new online platform wijzijnwestmaasenwaal.nl. In addition to the existing, in-person ways to get involved, here you can contribute your ideas, join the conversation, and participate in the municipality’s plans, projects, or policies online. You can also track the progress of a project or development, including milestones, results, and feedback.
We warmly invite you to this central online hub where you can get involved anytime, from anywhere!
Survey of residents
In the lead-up to the adoption of the policy, we conducted a survey to gauge how residents of our municipality feel about resident participation. We used the results as building blocks for the municipality’s participation policy. And, of course, we are now working in practice to further develop resident participation in our municipality. For example, we are working to continuously improve opportunities for residents to contribute ideas and get involved on specific topics.
