Open House on the Meandering Maas Project in Maasbommel

This is an old post.

The Meandering Meuse project reinforces the dike between Ravenstein and Lith and gives the Meuse more room on both the Brabant and Gelderland sides. This makes the area safer and creates opportunities for nature conservation and recreation. Ten organizations are working together with residents and businesses to preserve and enhance the distinctive landscape.

Open House on Work in the Floodplains

On the Brabant side, work is already underway on reinforcing the dike and widening the river between the railroad crossing at Ravenstein and Huis te Dieden. Work will also begin shortly on the Gelderland side, near Maasbommel East).

To keep local residents and stakeholders well informed, the Meanderende Maas project is hosting an open house on Wednesday, February 19, at Het Hanzehuys, De Bennenmaker 15, in the Maas en Waal room, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

During the meeting, you are welcome to drop by at any time and speak with the project team and the contractor, Boskalis. Information will be available regarding the schedule, design, accessibility, and execution of the work, including the layout of the construction site, ground-level lowering, and the repaving of Veerweg.
