Individual income supplement

What is it?

The individual income supplement is available to people who have been dependent on a low income for at least 36 months in a period of 48 months. You will receive this benefit if you have no prospect of an improvement in your income. The individual income supplement does not depend solely on your family or household situation. The amount is also a percentage of the social assistance standard, which means that the amount can change every year.

You are eligible for the individual income supplement if you meet the following conditions:

  • you are between 21 years of age and retirement age
  • you have had a low income for a long time

  • you have no prospect of an improvement in income
  • you have not received any individual income supplement in the past 12 months
