For help managing your finances, you can also contact Sociom at for assistance with managing your finances at home.

Immediate assistance with eviction or foreclosure

Are you no longer able to meet your regular payment obligations, such as rent, utilities, and water bills, and have you fallen behind on these payments? In such cases, the municipality is always notified that an eviction is scheduled or that your water and/or utilities are at risk of being shut off. If this is the case, you will be immediately referred to Verder (formerly PLANgroep). You will always receive written notification of this.

For business owners

If you are a self-employed individual, you can seek debt counseling from your accountant, a lawyer, a lending institution, or the Institute for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises. You may also be eligible for assistance under the Self-Employed Assistance Decree (Bbz). You can apply for this at Werkzaak in Tiel.
