Help with a work disability
What is it?
If you have a physical, mental, or psychological disability, you may need extra support or adjustments in order to work. This is called 'sheltered employment'. The municipality can help you find sheltered employment.
What should I do?
Werkzaak Rivierenland will assess whether you are eligible for sheltered employment. The UWV will advise Werkzaak on this matter. You do not need to submit an application yourself.
Request assessment of work capacity
Do you have a work disability due to illness or disability? If so, you can apply for a Work Capacity Assessment from the UWV. The UWV will assess whether you are able to work. The outcome of the assessment will determine whether you can receive assistance from the UWV or from Werkzaak Rivierenland.
Work capacity refers to whether you have the ability to work. For example, you have work capacity if you:
- can work with guidance;
- need a provision to be able to work;
- can only do sheltered work.
