Register your dog
You can register a new dog via MijnBSR at . If you don’t have a DigiD or your information isn’t in the digital portal, please contact the BSR at. They will send you a registration form for your new dog.
Unsubscribe dog
Are you selling your dog, or has your dog passed away? Please notify us of this change within 6 weeks via MijnBSR at . In the event of a death, please include a certificate from the crematorium or veterinarian. If you are selling the dog, please include a certificate from the animal shelter or the new owner. You only pay dog license fees for the portion of the year during which you own the dog.
How much does it cost?
The tax amount for each tax year is
- €44.21 for a first dog
- For each additional dog, €88.43
- for dogs kept in a kennel,€265.30 per kennel
Additional information
You do not have to pay dog license fees for guide dogs. You also do not have to pay dog license fees for police dogs, dogs staying at a shelter, or puppies younger than 3 months.
