How will you heat your home in the future? Fill out the survey!

This is an old post.

How will you heat your home in the future? The Netherlands is transitioning from natural gas to renewable energy. Local governments are developing plans for this transition. Share your thoughts and fill out the survey! Your input will help us tailor the implementation to your needs. You can participate until January 10 at www.wijzijnwestmaasenwaal.nl.

In the Netherlands, we are working toward a future without natural gas. We are switching to sustainable and clean energy to heat our homes, heat our tap water, and cook. We are doing this to reduce our dependence on other countries for energy—and to combat global warming. All countries in Europe have agreed on this and enshrined it in law.

To this end, each municipality is developing a so-called heating plan. In this plan, we outline how we will gradually transition to sustainable methods of heating our homes over the coming years.

We'd love to hear what matters most to you

That is why we are asking you a few questions. Your answers will help us create a plan. Our goal is to ensure that the implementation aligns as closely as possible with residents’ wishes and expectations. Please note: you can only complete this questionnaire if you are a homeowner or a tenant.

The survey takes about 5 to 10 minutes to complete. We process the responses anonymously. You can participate until January 10. The survey is available on our new platform, www.wijzijnwestmaasenwaal.nl.
