Recertification of the Safe Business Certification for the Veesteeg-Oost Business Park
The Safe Business Certification has been renewed for the Veesteeg-Oost Business Park. This certification is an important recognition for business parks where active collaboration takes place to improve safety.

On Friday, May 24, 2024, the Safe Business Certification was once again awarded to the Veesteeg-Oost Business Park, this time for a period of four years. This certification is an important recognition for business parks where active collaboration takes place to improve safety.
To retain the certificate, entrepreneurs work closely with the municipality of West Maas en Waal, the police, fire department, and the business park's management association. They establish and adhere to joint agreements to address nuisance, crime, and maintenance. The municipality of West Maas en Waal is proud that Business Park Veesteeg-Oost once again meets these strict Requirements.
Thanks to the measures set by the quality mark, damage caused by crime and insecurity for businesses in West Maas en Waal is reduced. This also has a positive effect on the sense of safety for both entrepreneurs and residents.
The "Safe Business" certification for business parks was introduced in 2005 by MKB-Nederland, in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice and Security. The Veesteeg Business Park received this certification for the first time four years ago. After four years, the collaboration between the parties involved is being re-evaluated.
To renew the certification, the business owners and other stakeholders will make new agreements, including:
- Organizing meetings for and by business owners on the topic of a clean and safe business park;
- Combating subversion and cybercrime;
- Better-organized police surveillance;
- Applications in public spaces, such as landscaping and street lighting.
