Free energy consultations during office hours in January and February
In January and early February, energy coaches from the municipality of West Maas en Waal will hold free energy consultation hours, each time in a different village. Residents of the municipality of West Maas en Waal can visit these sessions without an appointment and completely free of charge for personal energy advice.
During consultation hours, the energy coaches answer questions about energy conservation, insulation, heating, ventilation, and reducing energy bills. Whether you’re looking for small, immediate steps or planning for the long term, the energy coaches are happy to help.

What does an energy coach do?
An energy coach is a well-trained volunteer from the West Maas en Waal Energy Desk who helps residents save energy at home. The coach reviews the home and energy consumption together with the resident. The resident receives practical tips tailored to their personal situation, including simple adjustments like draft sealing and radiator foil, as well as advice on insulation or smarter use of heating and appliances.
Alderman van den Boom: “Everyone wants to keep their energy costs under control, especially these days. The work of our energy coaches is incredibly valuable. They help residents in an accessible way and share their knowledge selflessly. I therefore urge residents to take full advantage of this consultation hour.”
Even small changes make a noticeable difference
By saving energy, residents not only lower their energy bills, but also improve the comfort of their homes. With today’s energy prices, even a small change can make a noticeable difference in monthly costs.
What is special about this initiative is that the energy coaches do this work in their free time. They volunteer their time to help fellow residents of West Maas en Waal with free and independent advice.
