Free energy advice during consultation hours in January and February
In January and early February, energy coaches from the municipality of West Maas en Waal will be holding free energy consultation hours. Each time in a different village. Residents of the municipality of West Maas en Waal can drop in without an appointment and without any obligation for personal energy advice.
During consultation hours, the energy coaches answer questions about energy saving, insulation, heating, ventilation, and reducing energy bills. Whether it concerns small, immediately applicable measures or making plans for the longer term, the energy coaches are happy to help.

What does an energy coach do?
An energy coach is a well-trained volunteer from the Energieloket West Maas en Waal who helps residents save energy in their homes. The coach works with the resident to assess the home and its energy consumption. The resident receives practical tips tailored to their personal situation. These include simple adjustments such as weatherstripping and radiator foil, as well as advice on insulation or smarter use of heating and appliances.
Alderman Marieke van den Boom: "Everyone wants to keep control of their energy costs, especially in these times. The work of our energy coaches is incredibly valuable. They help residents in an accessible way and share their knowledge selflessly. I would therefore like to urge residents to make use of these consultation hours."
Small adjustments make a noticeable difference
By saving energy, residents not only reduce their energy bills, but also contribute to the comfort of their homes. With current energy prices, even a small adjustment can make a noticeable difference in monthly costs.
What makes this initiative special is that the energy coaches do this work in their spare time. They volunteer their time to help fellow residents of West Maas en Waal with free and independent advice.
