Free tree for residents of West Maas en Waal

This is an old message.

We want to plant extra trees in our community. Trees provide shade during hot periods. Trees also provide food and shelter for insects and birds.

Residents can choose one tree per residential address. Registration is open from October 1 to November 1. There are 500 trees available, while supplies last.

Maximum has been reached

The tree campaign has been a great success. There has been a lot of interest, and the maximum number of 500 trees to be distributed has been reached. Unfortunately, you can no longer request a tree.

We want to plant extra trees in the municipality. Trees provide food and shelter for insects, birds, and mammals. In addition, the shade provided by trees offers cooling during warm periods. We want to give our residents the opportunity to contribute to this, which is why every residential address will have the opportunity to order a free tree.

Choice of different types of trees

Residents can choose one tree per residential address. These are native species such as small-leaved lime, walnut, and common ash. Fruit trees such as stewing pears, apples, plums, and medlars are also available.

Registration opens on October 1

You can register for a tree from October 1 to November 1 via the website of Stichting Landschapsbeheer Gelderland (SLG): slgelderland.nl/projecten/bomenactie-west-maas-en-waal

There are 500 trees available, so be quick because once they're gone, they're gone.
