Free tree for residents of West Maas en Waal
We want to plant more trees in our community. Trees provide shade during hot weather. They also provide food and shelter for insects and birds.
Residents may choose one tree per residential address. Registration is open from October 1 through November 1. There are 500 trees available; once they’re gone, they’re gone.

The maximum has been reached
The tree giveaway has been a huge success. There has been a lot of interest, so we have reached the maximum number of 500 trees available. Unfortunately, you can no longer request a tree.
We want to plant more trees in the municipality. Trees provide food and shelter for insects, birds, and mammals. In addition, the shade from trees helps keep us cool during hot spells. We want to give our residents the opportunity to contribute to this effort, which is why every household will have the chance to order a free tree.
Choose from a variety of tree species
Residents may choose one tree per residential address. The selection includes native species such as small-leaved lime, walnut, and common ash. Fruit trees such as cooking pear, apple, plum, and medlar are also available.
Registration begins on October 1
You can register for a tree from October 1 through November 1 via the website of the Gelderland Landscape Management Foundation (SLG): slgelderland.nl/projecten/bomenactie-west-maas-en-waal
