The municipalities of Druten and West Maas en Waal are organizing a joint Veterans' Gathering.
On Saturday, November 1, 2025, the municipalities of Druten and West Maas en Waal will organize a joint veterans' gathering for all veterans living in these municipalities. The municipalities have sent all veterans a personal invitation via the Veterans Institute.
Veterans who did not receive an invitation but would like to participate could register before October 23 via www.westmaasenwaal.nl/veteranen.

On Saturday, November 1, 2025, the municipalities of Druten and West Maas en Waal will organize a joint veterans' gathering for all veterans living in these municipalities. With this gathering, the municipal councils express their respect, recognition, and appreciation for the veterans' commitment to freedom and security.
The gathering offers veterans and their partners the opportunity to share stories, reminisce, and meet each other. The municipalities sent personal invitations to all veterans via the Veterans Institute.

"Our veterans deserve recognition for their dedication and service. This gathering is a wonderful opportunity to say 'thank you' in person," says Sigrid Sengers, mayor of Druten.
"We are pleased to organize this gathering together with Druten, as it allows us to put together an even better program that does justice to our veterans. With more meetings, recognition, and, above all, our appreciation for their efforts," said Vincent van Neerbos, mayor of West Maas en Waal.
The meeting will take place at Dorpshuis De Lier, Koningsweg 12 in Puiflijk, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and will conclude with a group lunch.
